Ok, so I’ve been sitting on the sidelines all, “Well if that chick with octuplets wants to have babies to make some money maybe that’s her talent.”
But for some reason, now that she HAS a website openly asking for donations, well, I plan on making an anonymous (ok, not so anonymous since I’m posting about it publicly) call to the IRS asking how this not a not-for-profit can get donations and ask about the tax ramifications, because man, I was okay with Oprah potentially paying her $2M but get the hell off my interwebz with your beggin’ strips ass.
Seriously. People are going to give her ass money that should be donating to the Red Cross or the March of Dimes or the autistic kid’s family that lives down the street that Mrs. Jones (or whoever) didn’t say hi to at the store the other day.
That she is going to be the excuse that lets people give her $5 via paypal to sleep better at night for not helping the local fundraiser they skipped out on or did not participate in. That just bugs me.
Where do you think it ends? Do you think she’s going to now spend the rest of her life trying to get money for free?
Even more important: Do you think she reads the messages people send? Or do you think she has someone that screens out the bitter, awful people like me who threaten to turn her in to the IRS?
Jen is an awful person and secretly wishes she could set up a website and sit on her ass and collect money all day. She actually works, albeit from home, so no one thinks she really does anything but blog all day.

OMG I was watching that on Dr. Phil and then of course I had to get online to see the interview she did. That shit PISSES me off!!!
She got a $170,000 dollar settlement in 1999 because she hurt her back working at the mental hospital. Um, hello? WORKING there? She should’ve been a PATIENT.
But instead of using that money to, I dunno, feed her fucking family and get an apartment, she used it get herself knocked up!! So now she’s living off of government assistance (her kids’ disability payments) in her mom’s house and the only explanation she can give is that she had a fucked up childhood and she’ll be making lots of money when she grad-je-ats college. Oh sweetie, turn on a TV. There are better people than you that can’t find a job. And where are you gonna find a daycare to take FOURTEEN kids???
The fact that she’s got publicists (who set up the website by the way which just makes Marketers sound like the new Lawyers when it comes to blood-sucking scum) is just nauseating. They have no shame. How much of those donations do you think they’re pocketing?
Yeah we all wanna feel loved and connected but you don’t drag your broke ass into a fertility clinic…you see a psychiatrist!

When I saw this on TV the other day I wanted to puke. Actually ever since I’ve been hearing about it I’ve been pissed. Seriously 14 kids? Come on! I don’t think anyone that has 14 kids is bad but HELLO she’s SINGLE! And if I were her parents I’d kick her butt to the curb

I’m jumping on the bandwagon here and jumping ship from the “octuplet mommy sympathy” cruise.
I’m ok with good old-fashioned welfare mommies, too…i’ve got cousins who get pregnant just to get another bump in their check. But ya know what? They aren’t online begging for money or talking to the media or spending boku bucks on fertility treatments.

It annoys me how much people care about her having so many kids. It annoys me that so many people think it is their business to decide what is right and wrong. Those were HER embryos there, in the fertility clinic, and how many among you would say, “Oh, just go ahead and trash em! I’m all done here.” Because whether you agree or not, some people feel like they were BABIES, even though they were not in utero. Is this woman a fucking nut? Maybe she is. Maybe she just REALLY FUCKING LOVES KIDS. Is what she has done wise? Probably not. And maybe she will be dependent on state aid at times, but guess what? So are LOADS of other people, people who are not even supposed to be here, people who have raped and murdered and are serving life sentences, people who do it just so they can get more welfare money, people who are mean and abusive to their kids, people on drugs, alcoholics, and the list goes on. So it’s just ridiculous, really, that so many people feel a need to know her employment history, where her money comes from, WHY she would have so many. Her kids? They will either be alright or they won’t, just like everyone else’s kids.

We all judge people.
When you put yourself out there and ask for donations like you’re a one-woman not-for-profit, you’re kind of opening yourself up to a little more judgment than the LOADS of other people living their lives.
She’s not a not-for-profit and the fact that she has a better website than most of the women I know kinda proves she’s in it for more than just cause she loves kids. If you just loved kids you would spend more time nuzzling your newborns and less time on the phone with your professional publicist.
My problem was never with her having all the babies. It’s that she has a website asking for donations. I’m just not into beggars, I guess.

What she did was a completely SELFISH act. She went into this knowing full well that she did not have the money to even deliver these children, much less care for them after they leave the hospital.
Yet knowing that she was putting their lives in danger and knowing that taxpayers would be footing an ENORMOUS hospital bill, she did it anyway because she’s got some kind of twisted psychological need to keep breeding.
There is not one aspect of this story that is not completely selfish on her part.
